Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented PLC/SCADA Engineer / Electrical / Electronic Engineer to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial standards, industrial processes & operations, and compliance with safety protocols.


Key Responsibilities


Monitoring & Compliance:



  • Oversee the erection and installation of instrumentation and control (I&C) systems by contractors.

  • Ensure projects adhere to contractual requirements, applicable codes, and safety/environmental standards.

  • Review and approve contractors’ work method statements and ensure comprehensive risk assessments are in place.


Project Coordination:



  • Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams to synchronize I&C work, eliminate conflicts, and keep projects on schedule.


Technical Execution:



  • Troubleshoot, test, and commission PLC/SCADA systems and the Main Electrical Control Unit.

  • Install, develop, maintain, and manage control equipment to ensure efficient, effective, and safe process monitoring.

  • Upgrade obsolete control systems, calibrate instruments, and execute precise modifications as needed.


Maintenance & Quality Assurance:



  • Design and implement maintenance strategies and procedural guidelines for CETP equipment and machinery.

  • Conduct routine maintenance, diagnose breakdowns, install new components, and perform quality inspections to ensure optimal functionality.

  • Manage specialist procurement for fixtures, fittings, and other components; oversee maintenance inventory and control costs; and provide emergency support to minimize downtime.


Collaboration & Communication:



  • Liaise with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth coordination between engineering, operations, and departments for a streamlined workflow.


Qualifications & Experience



  • BS Engineering Electrical /Electronic / Instrumentation, PEC registration is must.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience preferred process industry on PLC/SCADA/ECU/MCU.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and PIDs.

  • Basic working knowledge of SCADA / PLC (AVEVA, Siemens, Rockwell Automation, and Schneider Electric.

  • Strong understanding of industrial standards and codes relevant to electrical/electronic engineering.

  • Preference will be given to candidates based in Sialkot.

Currently around 250 tanneries are located in 10 different clusters, scattered all around Sialkot and suburbs. These scattered tanneries are unable to meet the international standards which are becoming more and more stringent with the passage time. Meeting the international standards needs proper infrastructure which is not possible to be extended to each tannery in scattered locations all around the city. The foremost and critical requirement for international trade and exporting leather goods is the environmental and social compliance. The buyers anywhere in the world are now obligated by their own country’s legislation to import goods from those manufacturers who possess internationally accredited certifications.

To achieve the above mentioned objectives, The Sialkot Tannery Association (Guarantee) Limited (STAGL) an offshoot of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established under the Company’s Act 1984 on 24/06/2004 for the purpose of establishing and maintaining the Sialkot Tannery Zone in order to resolve the environmental problems.
The project with the assistance from Government of Punjab will help in shifting the existing 230-250 tanneries scattered in ten (10) clusters in Sialkot city to a dedicated Tannery Zone in Khambranwala where around 396 Acres land has been purchased for the purpose in order to provide following modern facilities so is to unable the tanners to produce International Standard Leather and Leather Products.
