The primary objective of the Software Testing and Quality Assurance Lead is to provide the means and also the measures for testing all the aspects of a software solution, both functionally and technically, in order to meet the requirements and overall quality of the intended solution. They will make sure that the test-plan concerning a product is well identified, defined, processed, and executed in the right order.

The position also demands the rectification of issues that might emerge during production or development process by submitting proper solutions directed towards the functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with other quality systems.

Essential Functions

The Individual will be expected to perform and execute the following essential functions:

1. Devise test plans and procedures on a product/project and make sure that requirements are met


2. Carry out test on products/projects to check quality and know if they are as per standards laid down


3. Detect issues or problems that will arise in development and offer solutions to the problems


4. Solid understanding of STLC as well as SDLC


5. General understanding of the software applications/tools and the business processes


6. Creates documentation in accordance with tasks performed


7. Ensures written communication is accurate, timely and thorough


8. Adheres to accepted standards and procedures.


9. Maintain and improve product quality by assisting in the development of the product, and collaborating with other members of the management team as well as the development team


10. Prepare documentation, reports, and results based on the process of the test plan, mapping out the failures, stability, and corrective actions in the development process


11. Review functional and design specifications of product to ensure full understanding of the goal a product is meant to achieve


12. Ensure that approved products meet functional and design requirements


13. May evaluate or analyze a proposed product to know whether the proposal can be possibly put to practice

Qualifications

1. A Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Software Engineering


2. Exposure to or Understanding of the standard Automated tools (Selenium, Test Complete, Testing Whiz etc.)


3. Certification in the relevant area such CAST (Certified Associate in Software Testing) & ISTQB

Experience

1. 3+ years of experience in executing and managing functional testing including quality assurance methods and testing required


2. About 2 years of robust development experience

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
