The basic requirements for the position are as follow:

Responsibilities:

·       Responsible for creating Charges based on superbill

·       Responsible for timely submission of claims to insurance companies

·       Obtain referrals and pre-authorizations as required for procedures

·       Working directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid

·       Reviewing and appealing unpaid and denied claims

·       Verifying patients’ insurance coverage (Eligibility)

·       Answering patients’ billing questions

·       Handling collections on unpaid accounts

·       Managing the facility’s Accounts Receivable reports

Requirements:

·       At least a Bachelor’s degree

·       Minimum of 5 years of work experience

·       Excellent knowledge of coding, billing cycle and insurance guidelines

·       Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

·       Knowledge of Urgent Care billing would be an advantage
