Job Type: Three Years Renewable Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Incumbent will be responsible for the following:
1. Provide technology vision and leadership while developing primary goals, operating plans, policies and short- and long-range IT objectives.
2. Develop and implement organizations IT strategy in line with changing requirements.
3. Ensure that all IT services infrastructure meet the requirements of organization operations by planning, overseeing and auditing all IT activities as well as providing a high quality advisory service on IT matters to senior management.
4. Coordinate support implementation/operation of systems and infrastructure systems and ensure providing quality service to end users including Units and POs in needs analysis, solution recommendation, vendor selection, implementation, training, and post-implementation support.
5. Manage smooth functioning of IT services, oversee IT inventory management, backup management system, security control risk management. Ensure day-to-day running of all IT infrastructure, including servers, Intranet, network, desktop computers, phone systems, and software and application database.
6. Secure database by developing policies, procedures, and controls.
7. Identify database requirements by interviewing customers; analyzing department applications, programming, and operations; evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems.
8. Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specification
9. Strengthen technological capabilities of staff and POs, through increased involvement, research innovation and infrastructure development.
10. Enhance IT preparedness and readiness level to ensure timely data backup and recovery arrangements.
11. Develop IT manual to cover issues like Disaster Recovery Planning, Standard Operating Procedures, Turnaround Time, IT equipment compatibility etc.
12. Prepare Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with vendors and other departments to reduce the turnaround time and improve quality of service.
13. Evaluate international best practices and apply them as and when appropriate.
